Check availability and the price unit first
A Claude model should only be selected after it appears as available in the live EidosStack catalog with a current price card. Compare input, output, and cache prices per one million tokens, then use the model ID shown there.
A model name in an article is descriptive. It is not a promise that the model is available at every moment or that access is affiliated with its publisher.
Integrate the gateway, then test your request shape
Create an API key, select an available model ID, and use the documented OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Start with one non-stream request, an explicit maximum output, and a representative prompt. Test streaming and error handling separately.
Record the token mix and status from usage history before you widen traffic. If your workflow needs a fallback, choose and enable it explicitly instead of assuming an automatic replacement.
Do not confuse API access with a Claude subscription
An interactive Claude plan and an API workflow solve different jobs. A subscription is for the publisher’s interactive product. An API is for software that sends metered requests under its own controls.
EidosStack provides API access through its own dashboard, IDR balance, key controls, and live catalog. It does not sell or manage a Claude subscription.
